With the aim to prevent people from emergencies near water and to avoid walks on thin ice the leaders of the Belarusian State Youth Union and the Society for Development of Water Transport and Passanger Safety arranged a patrol tour along the Pripyats River.
On December 14-15, 2019 International contest-festival of national cultures and modern art “From heart to heart” was held in Rostov-on-Don (Russia). Various aspects of art were presented at the contest: choreography, vocal, instrument performance, theatre and circus art. The academic chorus of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin participated in the contest and got the first prize. S. Bayova, the head of the chorus, gained a diploma and a letter of thanks.
New year is a bright fest! It is the time for presents, wonders and good mood, smiles and happiness! A festive concert was held at the premises of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin! Mikalai Lebedzeu, First Vice-Rector, congratulated the members of the teaching staff and wished everybody good luck, good health and great perspectives! MSPU students prepared a bright performance! They danced, sang and had great fun!

On December 11, 2019 workshop “career guidance: problems and perspectives” was held at the premises of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. Elena Pavlechko, Chairman of Mozyr District Executive Committee, started the workshop and answered the questions about social and economic development in Mozyr. Sergey Gorbach, Head of the Department for Staff Management, said that this event was evaluated as an important activity for succession and talented young people support. Mikalai Lebedzeu, First Vice-Rector, introduced the participants of the workshop with the history of the university, development the strategy and answered to the questions. Natalia Sverzh, Head specialist of the Department for Staff Management, spoke about the main activities of the department she worked at. Then the talented students participated in the trainings: “Leadership Practices: Deontology approach”, “Conflicts in modern society”. At the end of the workshop all the participants visited Combine state farm “Zarya”, Gomel State Sport College, Mozyr Museum of Local Studies.
On December 19, 2019 New year fest party was held at the premises of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. A great performance for the children was arranged by E. Dedkovskaya and the students from the Department of Preschool and Elementary Education. A wide range of festive activities were held.
