On August 4, 2006 by the Edict of the President of the Republic of Belarus No.500 Establishment of Education "Mozyr State Pedagogical University" was named after Ivan Shamyakin.
Since August 8, 2012 teaching assistant Elena Gayduchenko in association with Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution of the Russian Academy of Sciences has been developing the project "Assessment of species and population structure of small mammals from natural and technogenic disturbed ecosystems in areas close to the Chernobyl zone (Belarus)".
On August 9, 2000 academic periodical "Bulletin of MSPI named after N.K.Krupskaya" obtained its registration certificate.
On August 27 – 31, 2012 on the 5th World University Championship Canoe Sprint (Kazan, Russian Federation) students of Physical Education Department P.Medvedev, A.Tsarikovich, A.Kolosko won 1 silver and 2 gold medals.
On August 28, 2002 Chair of Informatics and Methods of Teaching of Informatics was established.
On August 31, 2006 in consequence of reorganization of Chair of Ecology and Medical Knowledge Basis (Rector’s Decree No. 319-k) Biology Chair was established. Candidate of Biological Sciences, Docent Victor Baharev was the first chairholder. In subsequent years the following people were instituted to be the chairholders: Head Teacher Valery Sikorsky (2007 - 2009), Candidate of Agricultural Sciences Sergey Mizhuy (2009 – 2010). Since 2010 Candidate of Biological Sciences, Docent Igor Kotovich has been holding the Chair.
