EMPLOYMENT CONFERENCE AT MSPU

On February 10, 2020 – February 26, 2020 MSPU administration met the graduates and conducted lectures where rules and regulations were discussed by the Head of the Staff office, the legal advisor, the members of MSPU trade committee. Representatives of the Office for Employment and Labour Safety lectured on labour regulation issues, rights and responsibilities of the students who would be provided with the first place of employment.

MOST BETWEEN BELARUS AND THE NETHERLANDS

On February 17, 2020 – February 21, 2020 the delegation from the Netherlands visited MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. This trip was supported by MOST, the project for professional exchange and mobility actions between Belarus and the EU for promoting mutual understanding and exchange of the best practices. Gerhard Hulsegge, Margien Koning, Caroline Astrid Breuker represented the Charity Society “Stiching Kinderhulp Tsiernobylramp” (Friezenfen, Overijssel).

The program of the stay was intensive and eventful. The guests got their chance to talk to the students and MSPU teachers; they presented their best practices in the field of Elementary education, Social work and Driving Teaching. The guests met Professor Savenko and discussed the consequences of Chernobyl disaster for Belarus. The guests walked around Mozyr, visited Kalinkovichi, Elsk, Gomel and Petrikov. At the end of the trip MSPU administration met the delegation and summed up the results of the meeting. Both sides were greatly inspired and had lots of plans for the future!

DAYS OF UDMURTIA IN THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS

On February 25, 2020 Forum “Days of Udmurtia in the Republic of Belarus” was held in Minsk. Round table discussion “Higher education and secondary professional education as a tool for development of the international relations between the Udmurt Republic and the Republic of Belarus” was included into the program. Great guests participated in the event: Mikhail Homich – Deputy Chairman of the administration of the Udmurt Republic, Svetlana Bolotnikova – Minister of Education and Science in the Udmurt Republic, Irina Starovoitova – the First Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus, and other honored people. The agreement for cooperation between MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin and Korolenko Glazov State Pedagogical University was successfully signed.

On February 25, 2020 Online career guidance event was held at the premises of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. The representatives of the Department of History and Social Sciences talked to the 10^th-11^th pupils from the State Educational Establishment “Secondary School No.6 in Svetlogorsk”. The main objective of the event was to attract the school leavers to apply to MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin and to upgrade the image of MSPU in the society. MSPU students prepared a movie “Mozyr is a city of students”. Power-point presentation devoted to the International projects and scientific research was shown to the pupils. Marina Shcherbin, PhD in Pedagogics, spoke about the bachelor degree programs available in 2020 and the admission regulations. Much attention was paid to great value of Historical education, because it develops critical thinking and broadens professional horizons.

SOCIAL CAMPAIGN “CLEAN HANDS – GOOD HEALTH”

On January 27 – March 27, 2020 social care campaign "Clean hands – good health" was held in Gomel region. MSPU supported this campaign as well. Thus, on February 19, 2020 MPSU Center for Initiatives and Education together with the representatives of Mozyr Regional Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology arranged a social campaign “Clean hands – good health”. The aim of the social campaign was to upgrade the awareness of young people about preventive measures from diarrheal diseases. More than 200 people participated in the campaign and were given the leaflets about preventive measures.

On February 21, 2020 Sergey Shchur and Valentina Gusak visited Mozyr Regional Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology and participated in the round table discussion under the topic "Hand hygiene – Healthy life".
