On January 29, 2016 prior to the Day of Belarusian Science rewarding ceremony was held at the premises of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University. NAS of Belarus (Gomel Division) presented the most prominent scholars of the region with certificates of appreciation.

Tatsiana Taletskaya, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor, Chair of the German Language and German Teaching Methodology, was invited to the ceremony and delivered the Certificate of Merit “For dedicated work and effective leadership of research projects”.

On January 30, 2016 Ivan Shamyakin, writer, laureate of State and Literature Awards of USSR and the Republic of Belarus, honorable academician of NAS of Belarus, classic of national literature, celebrates his 95th anniversary.

Literary works of Ivan Shamyakin are well-known all over the world; the principal idea of his novels was to show the act of bravery of the Belarusians in the pre-war and post war (Great Patriotic War) times. His stories were focused on ordinary people’s life and a strong wish of peace-oriented people to create safety future for the next generations.

On January 28, 2016 research and methodology workshop “Inclusive tendencies in the system of Higher education” was held at the premises of Educational establishment “Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P.Shamyakin”, Organizer - Chair of Practical Psychology and Defectology.
