Students of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics were third in the All-Russian Olympiad on the theory and methods of teaching mathematics. The Olympiad was held by the Ural State Pedagogical University (Yekaterinburg) on April, 15-16, 2013. Students from 12 Russian institutes of higher education and Belarus participated in the event.
In 2013 the Faculty of Technology of Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P. Shamyakin opens the following specialties: “Technical labour. Business”, “Serving labour. Business”, “Serving labour. Fine arts”, “Social work (social and educational activity)”. The advantage of training for these professions is the training period, which for full-time higher education is 4 years, and for part-time - 5 years. When applying for these specialties entrants have the opportunity to get an education on a budget basis.
On 16-17 April, 2013 educational institution "Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P. Shamyakin" organizes an international festival" Teaching Spring 2013" supported by the Ministry of Education.
On April 17, 2013 international festival "Teaching Spring 2013" finished its work by the award ceremony “Vocation” took place.
The most striking event of the first day of the festival was the Educational Olympiad "The Calling."
