STATE CONTEST “100 IDEAS FOR BELARUS”

On January 2018, State Contest “100 ideas for Belarus” was held at the premises of Economic zone “Gomel-Raton”. Representatives of various groups – students, young scientists, school children participated in the contest. Violetta Kohan and Alexander Karpovets, 2^nd year students (Technology and Biology Department), submitted a project “Zoo-hotel”. The main objective of the project was to arrange a shelter for animals with no place to be kept.

Ivan Petrovich Shamyakin served the National Belarusian literature faithfully and memorably. In his own lifetime Ivan Shamyakin was honored with the following rewards: a national writer, an academician, a Stalin Prize winner, a hero of socialist labour. There are 12 novels, 26 narratives, 10 plays, several stories in the creative heritage of the writer. Complimented by the 97^th anniversary of Ivan Shamyakin’s birthday Activity Plan of Festive Events was developed by the representatives of Belarusian and Russian Philology Chair. Curatorial projects, creative exhibitions, memorial lectures will be conducted at Philology Department.

WORKSHOP

On January 15, 2018 educational workshop on the subject “Dispersion” was held at the premises of Physics and Engineering Department. 4^th year students got a lucky chance to acquaint with modern teaching techniques, tips for better arrangement of a modern lesson and some good advice for future profession. G. Sventitskaya, a top-rank teacher of Physics from “Secondary School in Kozenky” conducted an open workshop and made each student become a participant of “the journey to the world of Physics”!

MEASURE YOUR PRESSURE!

On January 18, 2018 “Measure your pressure” campaign was held at the premises of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. More than 50 staff members and students measured their pressure. Repsentatives of State Health Establishment “Mozyr Hygienic and Epidemiological Center” together with their colleques from Health Establishment “Mozyr Medical center” consulted on an issue of pressure measuring and its necessity.

What is blood pressure? As we all know, blood is circulating in the vessels. Blood pressure is usually understood as the pressure on vessel walls. There are four types of blood pressure known: intracardial pressure, capillary, venous, arterial.
