As a part of academic mobility programmes MSPU students majoring in “Foreign languages” visited Germany in July 2018. The trip was arranged under the support of German foundation “Life after Chernobyl”. The main objective of the trip was to enhance country studies knowledge of students, get more information about the culture, ecology, economics and geography of the region and implement this knowledge in further studies in home country as well as to upgrade the level of German proficiency. The students got a lucky chance to visit the oldest and the most beautiful cities like Rhineland-Palatinate, Kaiserslautern, Meisenheim. There was much rewarding experience the students got from the trip.

ACQUAINTING MEETINGS

On September 10 – 26, 2018 representatives of Youth department (MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin) met freshmen with the aim to inform and involve them into social, cultural and sport activities held at the university.

Svetlana Matveeva, Head of Youth Department, told the students about the main perspectives and priorities of her work, activity plan for 2018-2019 and affairs which were directed to prevent young people from addiction and crimes. Heads of the center for ideology, center for culture and leisure, center psychological and social support presented their work, too. Victor Strukov, Chairman of Student Trade Committee, Victor Goncharov, Chief medical officer of MSPU health care center, Vitaly Doynyak, Head of Sport club, and the members of MSPU reading hall introduced the students with the topical issues of their work.

SWEET SMALL MOTHERLAND

In accordance with Decree No. 247 by June 20, 2018 signed by Alexander Lukashenko, the President of the Republic of Belarus, there is a State campaign devoted to brand-building affairs for SMALL MOTHERHOOD. In that vein Natalia Nichiporko, Deputy Dean for Educational Affairs (Physical Education Department) conducted a festive campaign “Sweet small motherland”.

The affair consisted of 3 parts: Part 1 - making up the posters, Part 2 – song contest, Part 3 – a performance in the lobby area of the University.

ABOUT THE PERSPECTIVES OF COOPERATION

On September 26, 2018 there was a meeting arranged by Tatsiana Chechko, Head of Center for Russian Studies, and Anton Beryanev, Deputy Head of the Center for Russian Science and Culture. The main objective was to replenish the stock of book funds. A large collection of items for methodology and research books devoted to the studies of Russian and Russian literature at secondary school and university was transferred to MSPU by the guests.

INDEPENDENCE DAY OF TURKMENISTAN

29-5         On October 27, 2018 Independence Day of Turkmenistan was celebrated. It was the 27th anniversary devoted to long and happy history of independent Turkmenistan. Representatives of Turkmenian unity who study at MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin arranged a festive performance devoted to this national fest.

Valentin Valetov, Rector of the University, as an honorary guest, congratulated all Turkmenian students and said that the friendship established between Belarus and Turkmenistan was treated as the most treasured thing.

Turkmenian students introduced the performance devoted to the History of the country, the main achievements and the role of Turkmenistan in the international field.

The performance was focused on popularization of the native culture, enhancement of friendship and unity between the people who live in Belarus and Turkmenistan.
