ONE DAY TO SUPPORT SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

Every single year United Nations arrange a campaign to support the international initiative “Universal day of affairs to support Sustainable development goals”. The main objective of the campaign is to invite attention of the representatives of public authorities, business societies, academic groups, private association to the issue of how to achieve sustainable development goals in the field of education, public health service, gender equality, economics, rational use of natural resources.

MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin and its administration pays much attention to support these goals as well as to develop a trend for healthy life style, gender equality, preventive measures against suicide.

In September 2018 representatives of Youth Department along with the clergy arranged the exhibition devoted to sustainable development goals. The students got a lucky chance to enrich the knowledge and be helpful information.

 

 

CHARITABLE ACTION “TENDER HEARTS”

On September 26, 2018 MSPU students-volunteers visited Educational Establishment “Secondary School of Prudok”. The main objective of the visit was to support the 1st form children and provide them with office requisites. There were lots of honorary guests at the meeting i.e. Lubov Klepchukova, Head of the Department for Education, Sport and Tourism in Mozyr, Sergey Pinchuck, Head of the Village Administration in Prudok, Victor Strukov, Chairman of MSPU Student Trade Committee. MSPU students arranged a festive performance for the children and entertain them a lot.

INTERNSHIP TO GERMANY

27-02        On July 26 - August 17, 2018 12 MSPU students majoring in German and English conducted an internship to Germany; the chief organizer - German foundation “Rainbow. Let’s support people from Chernobyl” (Gelsenkirchen). The main objectives of the internship were to upgrade German proficiency, enhance the proficiency in country studies and enrich the overview in economics, ecology and politics of Federated State North Rhine-Westphalia. The students got a lucky chance to visit Cologne Cathedral, Ruhr University Bochum, Bochum Observatory, German museum in Bonn.

ACADEMIC MOBILITY

As a part of academic mobility programmes MSPU students majoring in “Foreign languages” visited Germany in July 2018. The trip was arranged under the support of German foundation “Life after Chernobyl”. The main objective of the trip was to enhance country studies knowledge of students, get more information about the culture, ecology, economics and geography of the region and implement this knowledge in further studies in home country as well as to upgrade the level of German proficiency. The students got a lucky chance to visit the oldest and the most beautiful cities like Rhineland-Palatinate, Kaiserslautern, Meisenheim. There was much rewarding experience the students got from the trip.

ACQUAINTING MEETINGS

On September 10 – 26, 2018 representatives of Youth department (MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin) met freshmen with the aim to inform and involve them into social, cultural and sport activities held at the university.

Svetlana Matveeva, Head of Youth Department, told the students about the main perspectives and priorities of her work, activity plan for 2018-2019 and affairs which were directed to prevent young people from addiction and crimes. Heads of the center for ideology, center for culture and leisure, center psychological and social support presented their work, too. Victor Strukov, Chairman of Student Trade Committee, Victor Goncharov, Chief medical officer of MSPU health care center, Vitaly Doynyak, Head of Sport club, and the members of MSPU reading hall introduced the students with the topical issues of their work.
