Administration and staff members of Physics and Engineering Department express their deepest gratitude to Olga Veko, an MSPU graduate, a teacher of Mathematics at Upper secondary school in Kalinkovichi, who successfully defended a PhD thesis in Physics and Mathematics.

Olga has started her way to science when she was a student of Physics and Mathematics Department. She participated in science and research conferences, became a winner of the international and state academic contests in Mathematics and Physics. Olga Veko got an honorary diploma of appreciation from the members of Gomel Region Executive Committee.

INDEPENDENCE DAY IN THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS

Independence Day in the Republic of Belarus is known as a great affair for the people who live in the country. This day is usually associated with courage and heroism of the ancestors who struggled against the Nazi. This deed is available only for the people who have a high level of dignity, pride and love to the Motherland.

Alongside with the military men who marched in the city center to the memorial complex “Burial mound of Glory” MSPU administration, teachers and students participated in the festive parade. In the frame of the student volunteer club a decision to visit Yulia Khrustalyova and Vladimir Pugalov, veterans of war, was made. During the meeting MSPU students got to know much about the fate of the veterans and congratulated the veterans on the Independence Day in the Republic of Belarus.

HONOURING CEREMONY

Since 2005 there has been a tradition to encourage talented young people in Gomel region. On June 28, 2018 the best students were praised. The ceremony was held at the premises of Gomel region city administration. All the students who had got success and achievements in academic field and science were invited to the ceremony.

Victoria Yarosh, 5^th year student from Technology and Biology Department, represented MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin and got a diploma from city authorities!

LEAVERS BALL 2018

On June 30, 2018 Leavers Ball 2018 was held at the premises of the Independence Palace of the Republic of Belarus with the participation of Alexander Lukashenko, the President of the Republic of Belarus. Students who won in academic contests, students who became laureates of Special funds of the Republic of Belarus, 'A' grade students, activists of youth organizations (220 students in total) were invited to the Ball.

MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin were represented by 4 students: Maria Barabanova (Physics and Engineering Department), Nikolay Artyushko (Philology Department), Elena Rogalevich (Technology and Biology Department), Victoria Kuksa (Department of Preschool and Elementary Education). It was a great honour to say that Igor Karpenko, the Minister of the Education of the Republic of Belarus, gave a diploma to Nikolay Artyushko for academic achievements, participation in social and cultural life of the university.

STATE ROWING AND CANOEING UNIVERSIADE 2018

On June 11-14, 2018 State Rowing and Canoeing Universiade was held in Zaslavl (Republic of Belarus). Vladimir Klinov, PhD in Pedagogics, Associate Professor of the Chair of Theory and Methodology of Physical Education, was the leader of the team.
