PREVENTIVE MEASURES CAMPAIGN: HOW TO PROTECT STUDENTS FROM DOWNTURNS

On November 13, 2018 awareness-raising workshop “Preventive measures campaign: how to protect students from downturns” was conducted at the premises of Center of Ideology, MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin; focus group: curators of students’ groups.

The main objective of the campaign was to form personal background of curators who would be capable to solve downturn problems of students. Deputy deans for educational affairs, representatives of student social support centers, members of psychoneurologic dispensary and youth liaison service (Mozyr District Office of Internal Affairs) were invited to attend the workshop.

On October 27, 2018 Research to Practice School Children Conference for Natural-Science and Socio-Humanitarian Disciplines “POISK (SEARCH)” was held at the premises of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University. Marina Kravchenko, 9^th form pupil, Secondary School No.9, got the Diploma of 3^rd Grade. Research project “Specific heat of fusion and its calculation” was conducted under the assistance of Elena Melchenko, Master’s Degree Student of MSPU named after I.P. Shamyakin, with close cooperation of Tatsiana Nikolaevna, PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor.

STUDENT OF THE YEAR – 2018: REGIONAL STAGE OF THE CONTEST

On November 08, 2018 regional stage of the State Contest “Student of the year - 2018” was held. 6 bachelor degree students from 6 universities of Gomel region participated in the contest. Anna Polyn, Physics and Engineering Department, represented our University. All the participants showed their talents in art, academic affairs and leadership. “My small motherland” became the most prominent contest among the others.

COORDINATION COUNCIL FOR CONTINUOUS PEDAGOGICAL EDUCATION

On November 01, 2018 Coordination council for continuous pedagogical education was held at the premises of Baranovichi State University. During the plenary meeting the following experts in Pedagogical education presented their reports i.e. V.I. Kochurko, Rector of BarSU, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor, A.I. Zhuck, Rector of BSPU, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, M.G. Gapko, Head of Curriculum & Instruction Department, BarSU, A.V. Poznyak, Head of the Center for Pedagogical Development of BSPU.

With the aim to enhance patriotic behavior, motivate students to respect the feelings and delight to admire the act of bravery of the Soviet people during the WW II MSPU students from Technology and Biology Department and Physics and Engineering Department together with the Vice-Deans for Educational Affairs watched a movie “Understoyable” at the local cinema. The movie was devoted to a unique act of bravery of tank crew “KB - 1”.
