POSTER AS A CHRONICLE OF WAR AND A CHRONICLE OF FEELINGS

19.12.55 On January 11, 2019 foreign students from MSPU named after I.P. Shamyakin visited Mozyr local museum of National culture “Polesskaya Veda”. The visit was devoted to the 75th anniversary of Mozyr liberation from the Nazi. MSPU students visited the military hall of fame where the exposition “Poster as a chronicle of war and a chronicle of feelings” was held.

A distinctive feature of the museum was to present the poems and songs devoted to the war. All these helped to deep down into the atmosphere of those times. The exposition helped everybody to get in touch with the National traditions and heritage of Belarus.

75TH ANNIVERSARY OF MOZYR LIBERATION FROM THE NAZI

On January 11 – 14, 2019 administration of MPSU named after I.P.Shamyakin arranged a series of affairs devoted to the 75th anniversary of Mozyr liberation from the Nazi. Exhibitions on the chosen topic as well as meetings were arranged at the university libraries and student dormitories. MSPU teachers and students watched a movie “Indestructible” in the local cinema “Mir”, attended war posters exhibition “Poster as war chronicles” which was held at the premises of “Mozyr unionized local history museum”. Students who lived in Student Dormitories No. 1, 2, 3 visited the veterans. Svetlana Matveeva, Head of the Youth Office, and Victor Strukov, Chairman of the student trade committee, laid floral tributes to the war memorial.

STUDENTS FROM TECHNOLOGY AND BIOLOGY DEPARTMENT VISITED CHILDREN’S CENTER “RAINBOW”

    On December 26, 2018 MSPU students from Technology and Biology Department visited the attendees from Children’s Center “Rainbow” and arranged a festive performance for the children. Santa Claus met the children and brought them great joy, happiness and lots of presents. More than several hours the students together with the children were dancing, playing and sharing positive emotions.

WE BOW DOWN BEFORE OUR VETERANS

18-2 January 14 is a memorable day in the History of all Mozyr city-dwellers, because Mozyr was liberated from the Nazi 75 years ago. It is impossible to forget at what price our forefathers got the victory. In this vein the task for the generation of the sons is to keep this memory and pass it from generation to generation.

Thus, MSPU students who lived in the Student Dormitory No. 3 visited Semen Antipov, a veteran who participated in the Great patriotic war of the Soviet people. Semen Antipov told the students about the liberation of Mozyr and the acts of a military nature. Semen Antipov was born in Retchitsa but then made a decision to live in Mozyr. Mr Antipov showed his Medals for Bravery and told the students about bloody battles and the defeat of Nazi Germany.

WE FEEL PROUD AND REMEMBER

On January 17, 2019 a festive campaign devoted to the 75th anniversary of Mozyr liberation from the Nazi and the 100th anniversary of BSSR creation was held in Mozyr. Ilona Kolosovskaya, a Secretary of the Belarusian State Youth Union (MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin), accompanied by the activists from Physics and Engineering Department visited Vladimir Dudorenko, Ex-Rector of MSPI named after N.K. Krupskaya (1983-1997). Mr Dudarenko talked with the students about his life, his participation in Komsomol (All-Union Lenin Communist Youth League), about the development of our University and showed the pictures of his past when he was young.

This meeting was treated by the students as a significant affair, because there are only few people left who participated in the Great Patriotic War of the Soviet People and had memories of those days.
