Seminar "The Scientific Path: Making Complex Things Simple"

On April 15, 2026, the Faculty of Preschool and Primary Education hosted a seminar titled "The Scientific Path: Making Complex Things Simple" featuring Natalya Sergeevna Stasilovich, Associate Professor of the Chair of Psychology and Social Pedagogy. The event took place as part of Youth Science Week – an important initiative aimed at developing students' research skills and promoting science among young people.

During the seminar, participants examined issues related to the education system of the Republic of Belarus as a whole, with a particular focus on the stages of higher education. Topics concerning the writing and formatting of student research papers (term papers, theses, articles for scientific-practical conferences) remain highly relevant. Students involved in research work under the guidance of faculty members, present at scientific conferences, and create visual presentations and poster reports. These forms of work not only help deepen knowledge but also prepare students for their future professional careers, as well as enhance their competitiveness when applying for master's or doctoral programs.

SCIENCE AT SCHOOL

On April 15, 2026, as part of the Youth Science Week, a meeting was held at the Department of Biology and Chemistry with 11th-grade students from the schools of Kalinkovichi and Mozyr.

The guests immersed themselves in the world of science by listening to research presentations delivered by 4th-year students. The schoolchildren tried their hand at being biologists by examining biological slides under a microscope, and also became novice chemists for a while by conducting laboratory experiments. A tour of the classrooms allowed them to feel like real students.

The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

CHARITY EVENT “FAITHFUL FRIENDS”

Student activists organised a volunteer action “Faithful Friends”. The guys collected food for a shelter for temporary keeping of animals.

The collected food was handed over to the representatives of the shelter, who expressed their gratitude for the support and attention to the problems of homeless animals. The action “Faithful Friends” became not only a successful project to collect help, but also an important step to the formation of consciousness about the need to take care of our lesser brothers.

Students of the Faculty of Philology - diploma holders of the first degree of the International Youth Festival in Moscow!

The creative team of the 1st year of the 1st group of Philology Department (Mikhalchuk A., Gritsuk E., Gavrilenko I., Yakovleva D., Golub A., Mochernyak V.) took part in the VI International Youth Festival of Folk Art “Russia Many Faces”, which was held on the basis of the Lomonosov Moscow State University.

CONGRATULATORY ACTION “IVAN PETROVICH SHAMYAKIN IS DEDICATED TO ...”

On January 30, 2025 was the 104th anniversary of the birth of the national writer of Belarus Ivan Petrovich Shamyakin.

On January 31, 2025 on the basis of the reading room of our university a congratulatory action ‘Ivan Petrovich Shamyakin is dedicated ...’ took place. University staff, teachers and students of Philology Department took part in it. Together they recalled the brightest pages of the national writer's biography, shared their impressions about their favourite novels, noted I.P. Shamyakin's invaluable contribution to the development of the national culture of Belarus.
