Boris Sergeyevich Karasyov, a trainee teacher of the Department of History and Social Studies of EE “Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P.Shamyakin”, commander of the military-historical club “Valour”, has become the winner of the grant of the President of the Republic of Belarus in the sphere of youth policy from the Trade Union of Workers of Education and Science.

Students of EE MSPU named after I.P. Shamyakin took an active part in many events preceding the election campaign: dialogue platforms, quests, lectures, exhibitions, etc. They showed a high level of political maturity and came to the election of the President of the Republic of Belarus consciously.

The frosty day of January 1944 was and remains one of the most significant in the history of our region. Thanks to a successful military operation of the Red Army troops, the city of Mozyr was liberated on 14 January.

For 875 days the city fought against the enemy. Industrial enterprises were destroyed, schools were burnt, houses were looted. From 18 thousand population 4700 survived. The remaining inhabitants had to rebuild the city from ruins, to learn to live without fear and pain.

On the eve of the New Year, Mozyr became a venue for the Republican social and cultural project “Marathon of Unity”, within the framework of which for the first time in Mozyr a collection of books presented to the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Grigorievich Lukashenko by the heads of states of the near and far abroad, statesmen and cultural figures of various countries was demonstrated. The unique collection is housed at our university. Not only students, but also residents of the region had an opportunity to get acquainted with the exclusive exhibits of the exhibition, which was brought to Mozyr by representatives of the National Library of Belarus.

STUDENTS OF THE DEPARTMENT PRESCHOOL AND ELEMENTARY EDUCATION TOOK PART IN THE REPUBLICAN CHARITY EVENT “OUR CHILDREN”

Within the framework of the republican charitable action “Our Children” students of the faculty of preschool and primary education visited the kindergarten No. 39 of Mozyr “Forest Fairy Tale”.

The future teachers prepared an entertaining programme for the kids, which included contests and dances, relay races and fun games.
