HOW TO CELEBRATE A NEW YEAR PARTY IN A SAFE WAY

MSPU students met the members of Mozyr Ministry of Emergency Management i.e. K.O. Chigina, S.M. Nakonechny on December 29, 2021. The agenda was to meet the students and explain what steps should have been followed to minimize the risks of emergency situations (fireworks, firecrackers, spending time by the river, implementation of regulations for fire security). At the end of the meeting MSPU students answered the questions of the quiz and were awarded with the gifts.

A LESSON OF CHINESE

Philology students met the master’s degree students from the People’s Republic of China on December 27, 2021. The main objection of the lesson was to involve the Belarusian students into the Chinese language and culture. The lesson was held at the premises of MSPU Center for Chinese studies.

Liu Ya, a Master’s degree student, introduced the students with the Chinese writing, speech etiquette, customs and traditions held in China. At the end of the lesson each student created a New year card where a festive message was written in Chinese.

MSPU students were greatly amazed by the Chinese culture and expressed their wish to study this language in the future. MSPU students said bye in Chinese: “再见”

MSPU STUDENTS VISITED THE STATE EDUCATIONAL ESTALISHMENT “MOZYR ORPHAN HOME”

MSPU volunteers visited the state educational establishment “Mozyr Orphan Home” on December 29, 2021. A red mitt was a symbol of the support and wish to surround the orphan children with care and attention. MSPU volunteers prepared a festive performance “Fairy-tale: how the people might have lost the winter”. The children danced, played and were awarded with the festive gifts.

Within the cooperation agreement signed between Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P.Shamyakin and Sterlitamak branch of Bashkir State University MSPU teachers presented 2 lectures for BashSU students. Elena Kovaleva, Associate professor, Department of Foreign Languages and Foreign Languages Teaching Methodology, presented the lecture “Phonetic stylistic devices” on December 16, 2021. Irina Kovalevich, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages and Foreign Languages Teaching Methodology, presented the lecture “Word formation in English”. The teachers from Sterlitamak branch of Bashkir State University will present their lectures to BashSU students in spring 2022.

WINNERS OF THE INTERNATIONAL MIKHAIL BULGAKOV CREATIVITY CONTEST

The teachers and students from Philology Department took part in the international project “The image of a researcher in prose and drama of Mikhail Bulgakov: evolution, social aspects and cultural resonance” on November 22, 2021 – December 15, 2021. The project was arranged by the Institute of additional professional education (Russia, Nizhny Novgorod) together with Lobachevsky Institute of Philology and Journalism (Russia, Nizhny Novgorod).
