On April 4, 2024, the International Athletics Run "Bragin Ten", dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Chernobyl disaster, was held in Bragin, in the program of the Olympic Running Day.

The event is annually timed to coincide with the anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster, it begins near the monument erected in honor of Vasily Ignatenko, a native of the district, a firefighter who participated in extinguishing the accident and died from radiation.

On April 19, 2024, the International Shamyakin Readings were held at Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P. Shamyakin.

A dean of the Faculty of Philology, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences T.N. Symanovich emphasized the relevance of the problem field of the conference, the importance of the work of Ivan Petrovich Shamyakin in the formation of moral values and universal human qualities of the younger generation. "Past, present and future – only through the prism of kindness" – it was this quote by Ivan Petrovich that marked the Literary Week with international participation, within the framework of which the conference "Shamyakin Readings: Writer – Personality – Time" was held.

As part of the Youth Science Week, the XXXI International Student Scientific and Practical Conference "From Idea to Innovation" was held on the 19th of April, 2024.The organizing committee of the Conference received more than 500 applications, of which about 100 reports were from various regions of the Russian Federation - Chuvashia, Udmurtia, Tatarstan.
