INFORMATION MEETING “STRESS AND WAYS TO OVERCOME IT. PREVENTION OF SUICIDAL BEHAVIOUR”

Depression can start in everyone. Therefore, the meeting was aimed at bringing preventive information to students. During the meeting the age peculiarities of depressive behaviour, motives and reasons for depression, demonstrative and true suicide attempts were discussed.

Depression develops as a result of a complex interaction of social, psychological and biological factors. People who have experienced any unfavourable events (job loss, bereavement, psychological trauma) are more likely to develop depression. Depression, in turn, can increase stress, disrupt normal life activities, worsen the life situation of the person suffering from it and lead to even more severe depression.
