CHRISTMAS VOLUNTEER PROJECT

On December 18, 2018 Physical Education students visited Local Center for social service in Mozyr and showed the attendees of the center a bright Christmas performance “Magic Christmas”. The performance included tasks, games and creative gifts. Administration of Local Center for social service in Mozyr expressed their deepest gratitude to MSPU students and said that the affairs of this type bore much sense and significance.

INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

On December 10 – 15, 2018 MSPU bachelor degree students, master’s degree students and teachers from secondary schools of Mozyr and Kalinkovichi met Alexander Amatov, Doctor of Philology, Professor (Belgorod State National Research University, Russian Federation).

Alexander Amatov is a pupil of M.Bloha and now his area of expertise is Paradigmatics of Syntax. The standards that were developed by Alexander Amatov have been actively used in Foreign language teaching methodology and bear special value for Philology teachers. While lecturing Alexander Amatov offered an innovative approach to causal nets which are treated as fundamentals for language arrangement and speech activity.

Chair of Foreign Languages and Foreign Language Teaching Methodology has built up long-term relations with Professor Amatov and has been developing them for many years. This year a special course “Methodology of academic writing in English” was presented to MSPU students and guests.

RAINBOW OF TOLERANCE

On December 18, 2018 'Evening with Turkmenian students' event was held at the premises of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. There are more than 200 international students at our University. All the students are like a family where everybody understands and treats each other with great respect. The affair was colorful and bright, because everybody did their best to present traditional features of their nations (poems, music, songs). The motto of the meeting could be formulated as followed: “If we will treat each other with respect, our world will become a bit better”.

BATTIK EXHIBITION

On December 12, 2018 Battik exhibition was held at the premises of Alexander Pushkin Central Library in Mozyr. MSPU students from Technology and Biology Department presented their works for people to see. The main idea and the content of the exhibition were devoted to deep spectrum of possibilities and endless creativity of MSPU students. Alongside with MSPU students other painters from Mozyr and Kalinkovichi presented their works.

OCCUPATIONAL GUIDANCE FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS AT MSPU NAMED AFTER I.P.SHAMYAKIN

On December 15, 2018 representatives of the Chair of Russian and Belarusian Philology arranged an occupational guidance affair for prospective philology students “Position of Russian and Russian Literature in Modern Social and Cultural Environment”. Tatsiana Chechko, the Head of the Chair of Belarusian and Russian Philology, together with Irina Sudibor, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, and Olga Sergushkova, Associate Professor, conducted this affair. 64 pupils from Secondary Schools from Kalinkovichi and Mozyr took part in this affair.
