INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS’ DAY

The International Students’ Day is traditionally celebrated all around the world on November 17 by the students. This holiday is long-awaited, because everybody knows that studentship is the best period in life.

The activists from all the faculties together with the representatives of the University council prepared a festive campaign and created a special atmosphere of joy. There was a large festive campaign held at the University i.e. there were a lot of creative labs, interactive sport and music platforms, photo shoots, round table discussions.

MSPU student activists arranged a movie watching campaign at the student dormitories, quizzes, friendly games, self-government days. The best students were given a great opportunity to work as teachers and to try their best when act in a position of the deans of the faculties. That day could be treated as a rehearsal of their future career where effective, intellectual and managerial skills are developed and checked.

Practical training is the most important step in the professional training of any specialist, because it helps to understand that you have made the correct choice, you have checked how deep you knowledge is, you can determine your professional qualities and upgrade the skills necessary for the future career.

The 4 th year students from Philology Department majoring in “History and Social Sciences” undertook the pre-degree practice in the period of September 09, 2021 – October 31, 2021 at the premises of the educational establishments in Mozyr and Kalinkovichi i.e. State Educational Establishment “Secondary School No. 7 in Mozyr”, State Educational Establishment “Secondary School No.12 in Mozyr”, State Educational Establishment “Mozyr Regional Lyceum”, State Educational Establishment “Gymnasium in Kalinkovichi”.

THE WEEK OF THE RUSSIAN WORD: OPENING CEREMONY

The week of the Russian work was opened at Philology Department on November 15, 2021. Tatsiana Symanovich, Dean of Philology Department, started the ceremony with the greeting speech. She paid much attention to a great significance of this event, because all the events included into the program would influence positively on the development of the professional qualities of the prospective philology teachers. She wished all the participants to enjoy this great educational campaign. Sergey Kurash, Head of the Russian Studies Center, presented the program of the events included in the Week of the Russian Word. Tatsiana Chechko, the Head of the Department of the Belarusian and Russian Philology, spoke about the creative spirit she felt. She said that this campaign was organized not only for the students and the teachers from MSPU Philology Faculty, but for Philology teachers from the local schools in Mozyr. The practical intercourse between the teachers and the students helped to develop better professional links and upgrade the level of professionalism of the both parties i.e. the teachers had a chance to see how their methodological ideas worked and the students could get a chance to see what methods were good to apply to when they prepared their lessons.

VACCINE AGAINST COVID-19: Q&A

The internship doctors from Gomel State Medical University visited the educational establishment “Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P.Shamyakin” and lectured on the importance of vaccination against COVID – 19 on November 12, 2021. Q&A session with MSPU teachers and students was arranged with the aim to speak about the effectiveness and safety of the vaccine, necessity to pass tests to detect the antibodies and PCR tests, etc.

STATE PROGRAM ON PATRIOTIC EDUCATION FOR 2022 – 2025 IN THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS

The discussion of the State Program on Patriotic Education for 2022-2025 in the Republic of Belarus was held at the premises of the Educational Establishment “Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P.Shamyakin” on November 12, 2021. Sergey Shchur, Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Marina Shcherbin, Head of History and Social Sciences Department, Ludmila Ismailova, PhD in Pedagogics, Associate Professor discussed the main tasks of the program and possible changes in the content of the program. Valentina Naumenko, the 1 st Secretary of the District Committee of the Public Association “Belarusian State Youth Union”, and Victor Strukov, the Chairman of MSPU Trade Union Committee participated in the discussion acting as the members of the local public associations.
