IN OUR MEMORY MOMENTS OF WAR...

On the 7th of May 2024 within the framework of the events dedicated to the 79th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders, the curatorial hour “In our memory moments of war...” was held in the study groups No. 3 of the first and second year. The students made reports about the exploits of their great-grandfathers on the battlefields, about the hardships of the Belarusian population during the occupation, about the deprivation and inhuman conditions of the prisoners of concentration camps and those sent to forced labour. The participants of the curatorial hour saw unique footage of war newsreels - a living testimony of the terrible war with Nazi Germany and the great feat of soldiers and partisans who defended our Belarus.

WATCHING OF THE ONT INVESTIGATION FILM ‘CHILDREN IN THE CROSSHAIRS: RECRUITED BY THE ENEMY’ AT THE PHYSICAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT

On the 7th of May 2024 the students and the teaching staff of Physical Education Department watched and discussed the film-investigation of the ONT TV channel ‘Children in the Crosshairs: Recruited by the Enemy’ about the participation of young Belarusians in sabotage.

‘FOOTBALL FOR ALL’

The Presidential Sports Club with the assistance of the Association ‘Belarusian Football Federation’, the Ministry of Sport and Tourism and the Ministry of Education initiates a national social project to support sport and healthy lifestyles ‘Football for All!’ in 2024.

The project is implemented with the aim of involving as many children and adolescents, youth, able-bodied population and the elderly in regular physical culture and sports activities and involving them in active recreation.

‘I CAN'T SPEAK FREELY IN POLAND’. WHY THE POLISH JUDGE RESIGNED AND TURNED TO LUKASHENKA FOR PROTECTION

Today in the press centre of BELTA Polish judge Tomasz Schmidt signed a letter of resignation and asked for protection from the leadership of Belarus. The judge was forced to leave Poland because of harassment and threats. The reason is disagreement with the policy of official Warsaw and actions of Polish politicians. At the press conference Tomasz Schmidt told in detail what motivated this decision, why he came to Belarus and what interests the Polish authorities pursue when making certain decisions.

OPEN CONVERSATION BETWEEN THE DELEGATES OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS AND THE YOUTH

On 6 May 2024 the meeting of the delegates of the National Youth Council, deputies of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus O.M. Kovalkova and A.V. Naumenko with the youth of Mozyr region took place. The meeting was attended by the university staff and student activists.
