MOZYR CITY DAY 2018

On September 22, 2018 MSPU administration staff, teachers and students participated in the festive ceremony devoted to Mozyr City Day. This year Mozyr has reached the age of 863. The ceremony started with the demonstration in the city center where the representatives of Mozyr workers' associations, organizations, enterprises and unities met together and marched. Festive mood was created by open-air merrymaking conducted in the city center and next to the river-banks, in the amusement park. Mozyr dwellers were delighted with festive salute at the end of the rejoicing.

STUDENT INTERN AT PHYSICAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT

On September 10 – 16, 2018 student intern was held at the premises of Physical education department; participants – bachelor degree students who major in “Sport and teaching activity (coaching)”; intern head – Yury Doynyak, head teacher, Chair of Theory and Methodology of Physical Education.

The aim of the intern was to form the system of special knowledge and competence when special equipment is used, to get to know with the forms and methods of tourism and recreation affairs.

CONSECRATING FRESHMEN!

At the beginning of a new academic year MSPU freshmen participated in an amazing quest “Get to know your university better”, which was arranged with the assistance of the members of MPSU student self-administration and the members of Youth department. Freshmen from 4 departments (Philology Department, Technology and Biology Department, Physics and Engineering Department, Physical Education Department) took part in the quest. While doing various tasks students got more involved into the university life i.e. administration, structural units and departments.

The winners of the quest were given their festive presents during the first disco-party which was arranged this year.

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE “DIFFERENTIAL GEOMETRY AND DYNAMIC SYSTEMS” (Mangalia, Romania)

With the assistance of the European Project MOST Elena Ovsiyuk, Associate Professor, Chair of Physics and Mathematics, PhD in Physics and Mathematics, participated in the international conference “Differential Geometry and dynamic systems (DGDS - 2018)” that was held in Mangalia (Romania) in August 2018; the chief organizers of the conference were Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Balkan Geometry Society, Romanian academy of sciences.

The conference was treated by the scientists and teachers as a great possibility to meet colleagues from abroad, to share new ideas and topical issues in the field of differential geometry, dynamic systems, mathematical models in Physics and Technology.

31ST INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON SPACE FLIGHT ASSOCIATION ACTIVITIES

On September 10, 2018 the 31^st international congress on space flight association activities was held in Minsk Exhibition Center “Belexpo” with the participation of Alexander Lukashenko, the President of the Republic of Belarus.

Valery Navnyko, Vice-Rector for Research, and Eduard Grechannikov, Head of the Sector for Science and Research, participated in the congress.

Alexander Lukashenko claimed that Space Industry had been developing instantly and steadily. Optical satellite systems, space-based mirrors, earth sounding from space equipment have been successfully produced in our country. The Belarusian scientists are in close cooperation with the colleagues from Russia with the aim to investigate Space technologies.

The congress is being conducted within a 3-day period where several subject-matter sessions on Innovations in Space industry and Space flights will be held.
