On March 06, 2018 Igor V. Karpenko, the Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus, met the best Belarusian female students at BSPU named after M. Tank. Maria Barababova, a 5th year student, Physics and Engineering Department, was invited as a representative of Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P. Shamyakin.
On March 01, 2018 representatives of the Department for Educational Affairs with MSPU students arranged a marathon for preventive measures against drugs and drug traffic. Members of MSPU academic staff and students, guests from Belarusian State Youth Union, Mozyr Local Organization, Mozyr Hygienic and Epidemiological Center participated in this social campaign.
The marathon was interesting and educating. All the participants were pleased with the gifts and useful knowledge.
On February 28, 2018 an official meeting devoted to opportunities and perspectives of student self-government was held at the premises of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. The following hot topics were discussed: development of student self-government, effective management for student societies.
Students got a lucky chance to listen to such speakers as Svetlana Matveeva, Head of the Office for Educational affairs with students, Victor Strukov, Head of Student Trade Union, Olga Piskun, Head of UNESCO club “WE”, Elena Marinenko, Head of Belarusian Red Cross Society, Victoriya Borisenko, deputy secretary of Belarusian State Youth Union.
On February 27, 2018 National Cuisine Day was held at the premises of Student Dormitory No. 3; chief organizers – Office for Educational affairs with MSPU students.
Students from Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Ukraine, Russia and the Republic of Belarus participated in the fest. Representative of each country cooked a meal, presented it and lectured on the typical features of the national cuisine of their Motherland.
On February 23, 2017 a festive concert devoted to University Foundation Day, Defender's Day, centennial of national defence forces of the Republic of Belarus was held at the premises of Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P. Shamyakin.
Valentin Valetov, Rector of the University, opened a festive ceremony and congratulated the members of MSPU academic staff with University Foundation Day, Defender's Day, Centennial of National Defence Forces of the Republic of Belarus.
