COUNTER-STRATEGY AGAINST DRUG ADDICTION AND PSYCHOTROPIC SUBSTANCES

On December 20, 2018 members of MSPU teaching staff met Vladimir Rybinski, Deputy Head of TDIN OIP, and discussed counter-strategy against drug addiction and psychotropic substances. Statistic data on crimes was presented d/d January-December 2018.

As Vladimir Rybinski said drug abuse situation in the Republic of Belarus was treated as controllable and sustainable. Drug overdose cases reduced (-24,6%), drug overdose cases followed by death reduced also (-34,9%), amount of drug-related crimes reduced (-9,9%), amount of drug-related crimes committed by under-aged reduced (-46,4%). The following statistics was shown that there were 4500 drug-related crimes and 4500 drug-related crimes, 696 administrative offence reports were made, 36 criminal cases were opened.

CHRISTMAS TREE FEST – 2018

New Year is always associated with presents, positive emotions, hopes and beliefs. In this period of time everybody has a right to feel like a character from fairy-tales, to recollect the memories from the past. Under the auspices of Youth Department and MSPU Student Committee “Christmas Tree Fest - 2018” was held at the University. Students who lived in Dormitory No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 participated in the affair. Each team presented their Christmas Trees and conducted a performance. According to the opinions of the jury the team who represented Dormitory No.3 got the first prize in the category “The Best Santa-Clause”; the team who represented Dormitory No.2 got the second prize in the category “The Best Performance”; the team who represented Dormitory No.1 got the third prize in the category “The Best Christmas Tree”.

CONGRATULATIONS!

RESEARCH AND METHODOLOGICAL SEMINAR “MODERN TECHNIQUES USED IN FOREIGN LANGUAGES TEACHING”

        On December 05, 2018 research and methodology seminar “Modern techniques used in foreign languages teaching” was conducted by the Chair of Foreign Languages and Foreign Language Teaching Methodology. MSPU bachelor degree students, Master’s Degree students, PhD students participated in the seminar and shared their experience in English teaching techniques. Representatives of Secondary schools (branches of the Chair) also participated in the seminar.

The main objective of the seminar was to focus attention on innovative techniques in foreign languages teaching, fruitful conditions and best results, conducting inter-subject communications, enhancement of methodological training of bachelor degree students and secondary school teachers on their way to enhancement of methodological knowledge, skills and competence.

MSPU students recited poems in English and German, delivered the reports, conducting master-classes and a round-table discussion.

STATE MODERN ART STUDENT EXHIBITION “SIDES OF CREATIVITY”

On December 03, 2018 within the framework of Student State Modern Art Student Exhibition “Sides of Creativity” Philology Department Students invited school children from Mozyr Secondary School 15 to visit the University and enjoy the Modern art.

As administration of Philology Department say there is fruitful and prosperous cooperation between schools and the University. This cooperation helps to conduct a fruitful dialogue between the people and show the succession between generations.

Philology students who major in “Belarusian and Belarusian literature” made a performance for the school children; the performance was devoted to Motherland and its beauty.
