INTERNATIONAL SCRATCH OLYMPIAD ON CREATIVE PROGRAMMING

In summer 2024 the Belarusian national qualifying stage of the VII International Scratch-Olympiad on Creative Programming took place. Physics and Engineering Department took part in this large-scale event for the first time.

The 2nd year student Berezin Georgiy, under the guidance of V.V. Davydovskaya, prepared a project and in the nomination “Scratch School” (age category up to 19 years old) took the first place among the participants of Gomel region!

We congratulate Georgy and his supervisor and wish him further success in the field of creative programming!

DAD'S DAY AT EE MSPU NAMED AFTER I.P. SHAMYAKIN

On 21 October 2024 at the EE “Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P.Shamyakin” was held a series of events dedicated to the celebration of Dad’s Day. This event was a great opportunity to express gratitude to all men who bear the proud title of “Dad”. This day is a great occasion to remind about the importance of family and the fact that dads play a huge role in the life of every man, to say “Thank you” to dads for their work, for their tireless care.

ARCHAEOLOGICAL AND ETHNOGRAPHIC MONUMENTS OF THE REGION

Every person should certainly know the history of his small motherland. It is rich in its traditions and is of great importance in education of patriotism and love to the land.

Within the framework of the local history project ‘Archaeological and ethnographic monuments of the region’ the senior lecturer of the Department of History and Social Sciences Z. S. Varnava and librarian O. G. Gubkina introduced the first-year students to the history literature available in the library's collections, electronic full-text database of own generation ‘Radzimaznaustva: Mazyrshchyna’.
