During the congress was held a symposium. It was devoted to the 100 anniversary from the date of birth of academician Boris Ivanovich Stepanov. The Belarus-Swedish-Ukrainian seminar has also been held.
Student athletes of the educational establishment "Mozyr state pedagogical University. I.P. Shamyakin" won 10 medals (6 gold, 3 silver, 1 bronze) in rowing and canoeing at the XXVII World Summer Universiade

A new monograph "Fundamental and applied researches of electroplastic deformation of metals" by O. Troitski (director of the Institute of deformation of metals, Doctor of Engineering, professor, member of the Academy of Electrotechnical Sciences of the Russian Federation) and V. Savenko (head of the chair of general physics and methods of teaching physics of Mozyr state pedagogical university named after I.P. Shamyakin, Doctor of Engineering, professor) was published.
