On January 12, 2021, a meeting of the Council of the Turkmen community was held.

E. V. Zhmur, the teacher-organizer of the department for educational work with young people, made a welcoming speech and informed about the results of the work of the Turkmen community activists during the reporting period, as well as the results of the New Year's contests.

The students talked about the upcoming session, the organization of cultural and mass work for the second half of the 2020-2021 academic year, and the preparation for the 100th anniversary of the birth of I. P. Shamyakin.

THE BEST STUDENT OF THE COMMON OF INDEPENDENT STATES – 2020

In February – June 2020 the International Contest “The best student of the Common of
Independent States – 2020” was held in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. The best students from the
Common of Independent States represented their home countries – the Republic of Kazakhstan,
Republic of Belarus, Russian Federation, Republic of Uzbekistan, Republic of Tadjikistan. These
students were chosen to get the award because they made a great contribution in the development
of Science and Education in the Common of Independent States.
Vadim Prihodsko and Yulia Kudlach, the 4th year students majoring in “History and
Social Sciences”, represented MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. These 2 students were
delivered with the medals and the diplomas of the 1st degree. They were given a title of “THE
BEST STUDENT OF THE COMMON OF INDEPENDENT STATES – 2020”.

SOCIAL CAMPAIGN “STAY TUNED! MEASURE YOUR PRESSURE!”

On August 27, 2020 the representatives of MSPU Social Service Center in collaboration with the
members of the Department for Civil Health (State Establishment “Mozyr Local Hygienic and
Epidemiological Center”) and Health Care Institution “Mozyr Local Polyclinic” arranged a
social campaign “Stay tuned! Measure your pressure!”
This campaign was held with the aim to form ideas in the minds of the teachers and the students
to keep and preserve good health, to develop great motivation to follow a healthy lifestyle, to
prevent the risks of arterial tension, miocardial infarction, apoplectic attacks and other diseases
of blood circulatory system.
More than 40 representatives of the University participated in the campaign and were provided
best practice advice.

YURY SHULEYKO VISITED MSPU

On August 31, 2020 Yury Shuleyko, the assistant of the President of the Republic of Belarus, the
inspector responsible for the Affairs held in Gomel Region, visited MSPU named after
I.P.Shamyakin. Elena Pavlechko, the Chairman of Mozyr District Executive Committee,
attended the meeting as well. The aim of the visit was to talk to the teachers and the students of
MSPU. Welfare, Education and Educational affairs, Ideology, Information management were
discussed at the meeting in a form of an open dialogue.
Yury Shuleyko delivered a speech where much attention was paid to the current problems in the
youth environment and the political situation in the Republic of Belarus.
All the questions were discussed and the requirements were met on improving the quality of
training and education in Gomel Region.
