On Thursday, January 14, at 12:00 a.m., a ceremonial meeting dedicated to the 77th anniversary of the liberation of Mozyr and Mozyr region from the Nazi occupants will be held on the Mound of Glory.
On January 14, 1944, the troops of the First Belorussian front, supported by the soldiers of the Polesie guerrilla unit, liberated Mozyr from the Nazi occupants. In the battles for the town, 17 units and unions of the Soviet Army received the name "Mozyrskih". War machines and guns on pedestals, looking upwards obelisks, concrete and marble slabs of the memorial Mound of Glory, where the remains of the soldiers and commanders of the Soviet Army, Polesie guerrillas are buried, remind us about those heroic days.
Let the sinister flames of war never again scorch our land!
Let the Feat of heroes live through the centuries.
