WELCOME TO THE PHYSICS AND ENGINEERING FACULTY

Elena Ovsiyuk, the Head of the Department of Theoretical Physics and Applied Informatics, and Tatsiana Nikolaenko, Associate Professor, met the 11^th grade pupils from the State Educational Establishment “Lelchitsy District Gymnasium”, the State Educational Establishment “Secondary School No. 1 in Lelchitsy”, the State Educational Establishment “Secondary School No. 2 in Lelchitsy” on February 04, 2022. Multimedia presentations, video presentations, admission details, perspectives and possibilities for students were discussed at the meeting. Much attention was paid to the advantages of the future profession and a wide range of possibilities for professional and personal growth of the students.

MSPU WON THE SECOND GRADE PRIZE AT THE SPORT COMPETITION ARRANGED FOR THE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE WORKERS' ASSOCIATIONS IN MOZYR

A festive diploma delivery ceremony devoted to the final stage of the sport competition was arranged for the representatives of the workers’ associations in Mozyr. The ceremony was held at the premises of the State Educational Establishment “Secondary School No.13 in Mozyr” on February 04, 2022. It was a great honour to mention that MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin got the second grade prize. Moreover, Valery Dranets, a Head teacher, Department of Physical Education and Sport, was awarded with a thanks giving letter for high professionalism and great support of sport activities held in Mozyr.

PROPER PROFESSION SELECTION

Olga Yablonskaya and Zhanna Grib, the Department of Foreign languages and Foreign Language Teaching Methodology, Philology Faculty, visited the State Educational Establishment “Oktyabrsky District Gymnasium” and the State Educational Establishment “Secondary School № 2 in Oktyabrsky” on January 11, 2022. The representatives of Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P.Shamyakin spoke about the bachelor degree programs provided for the students. The presentation about the university was informative and interactive with lots of important facts about the teachers who work at the faculty, material and technical resources, research projects, cultural activities and sport life held at the University. Much attention was paid to the bachelor degree programs, entrance exams and test, passing scores. I. Poklonsky and V. Zmushko, students majoring in “Foreign languages”, assisted Olga Yablonskaya and Zhanna Grib. They masterfully recited the poetry by Shakespeare and Goethe. At the end of the meeting MSPU team arranged a quiz about the British and American sights. Olga Yablonskaya and Zhanna Grib answered the questions of the pupils and teachers.

HOW TO CELEBRATE A NEW YEAR PARTY IN A SAFE WAY

MSPU students met the members of Mozyr Ministry of Emergency Management i.e. K.O. Chigina, S.M. Nakonechny on December 29, 2021. The agenda was to meet the students and explain what steps should have been followed to minimize the risks of emergency situations (fireworks, firecrackers, spending time by the river, implementation of regulations for fire security). At the end of the meeting MSPU students answered the questions of the quiz and were awarded with the gifts.

A LESSON OF CHINESE

Philology students met the master’s degree students from the People’s Republic of China on December 27, 2021. The main objection of the lesson was to involve the Belarusian students into the Chinese language and culture. The lesson was held at the premises of MSPU Center for Chinese studies.

Liu Ya, a Master’s degree student, introduced the students with the Chinese writing, speech etiquette, customs and traditions held in China. At the end of the lesson each student created a New year card where a festive message was written in Chinese.

MSPU students were greatly amazed by the Chinese culture and expressed their wish to study this language in the future. MSPU students said bye in Chinese: “再见”
