Every person should certainly know the history of his small motherland. It is rich in its traditions and is of great importance in education of patriotism and love to the land.

Within the framework of the local history project ‘Archaeological and ethnographic monuments of the region’ the senior lecturer of the Department of History and Social Sciences Z. S. Varnava and librarian O. G. Gubkina introduced the first-year students to the history literature available in the library's collections, electronic full-text database of own generation ‘Radzimaznaustva: Mazyrshchyna’.

Today on 17 October the Forum of Rectors of Universities of BRICS countries started its work in Moscow. It was attended by about 200 representatives of higher educational institutions. Heads of universities and other scientific institutions from Russia, Belarus, Brazil, China, Saudi Arabia, India, South Africa, Egypt, Iran, UAE and Ethiopia gathered at the Lomonosov Moscow State University.

On 16 October 2024, representatives of the Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P.Shamyakin took part in the international presentation of the project “EDUCATIONAL DIALOGUE: OUR UNITED FUTURE”.

The project is organised by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Yaroslavl Region, the My Story Foundation for the Support of Humanities and Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushinsky, a long-standing partner of our university.

On 16 October 2024, the Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Russia, Brazil and Belarus is taking place in Moscow for the first time.

About one hundred heads of universities and major scientific institutions of the three countries gathered at the Lomonosov Moscow State University to discuss the prospects of cooperation between educational institutions and interaction in educational and cultural spheres.

On October 10, 2024 on the basis of the Centre for Ideological Work a dialogue platform was held on the investigation of the criminal case of genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War by the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Belarus.

The aim of the event: to inform about the genocide of the Belarusian people on the territory of Belarus during the fascist occupation in the years of the Great Patriotic War; to preserve the historical truth and memory of the events of the past.
