LECTURE AND SEMINAR “MAXWELL EQUATION AND RELATIVISTIC PHYSICS” AT PHYSICS AND ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

LECTURE AND SEMINAR “MAXWELL EQUATION AND RELATIVISTIC PHYSICS” AT PHYSICS AND ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

The lecturer paid much attention to the integral and differential forms of representation of Maxwell equations which were used to describe the electromagnetic field and relation of Maxwell equations to electrical charges and currents in vacuum and continuous media. Maxwell equation was developed in the middle of the XIX century and played a significant role for further development of Theoretical Physics and other fields where Electromagnetics was studied. This lecture and the visit of Victor Redkov was the first step for cooperation between Physics and Engineering Department and the Center for Fundamental Interactions and Astrophysics of the Institute of Physics named after B.I. Stepanov of the National Academy of Sciences.
