In September – October, 2018 annual affairs devoted to preventive measures against suicide were conducted at the premises of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. All the events were devoted to valuable attitude of young people to their own life and life around them.
On September 20, 2018 training “Lies and truth about suicide” was conducted at the premises of the center for ideology. The main objective of the affair was to form confidence of the students and their positive attitude to life.
On October 01 – 05, 2018 MSPU students participated in the social campaign “We vote for life!” and “Life is beautiful” held at the premises of Student Dormitory No. 1 and No. 2.
On October 10, 2018 a round table discussion “Life is happiness, create this happiness!” was held at the premises of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. T.P. Yazenok, Head of the department for social adaptation and rehabilitation, I.V.Shevtsova, Psychologist, Analoty the priest, representative of St. Michael Church in Mozyr, were invited to the university to talk to the students.
For more than a month a diagnostic testing was conducted at MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. The experts were looking for those students who were in the risk zone. The data collected would be of great use in the future because it would be helpful to prevent any kind of suicidal behavior.
