On September 01, 2018 the day of knowledge was celebrated at Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P.Shamyakin. Valentin Valetov, Rector of the University, Honorary worker of education, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Honorary professor, opened a festive ceremony. Mr Rector congratulated all the members of teaching staff on the beginning of a new year. He called the students to get the secrets of professional mastery, to participate in scientific, cultural and sport activities held at the premises of the university.Igor Maksimov, a priest and a representative of Turov Eparchy, and Valery Dranets, Chairman of the Veteran council, being represented as the University guests, also congratulated the students.
According to the old university tradition the symbols of students life – the Key to Knowledge and the Student ID were given the representatives of MSPU student self-administration.
