REGIONAL ART FEST “YOUTH TO RENAISSANCE, DEVELOPMENT, FUTURE!”

On April 26, 2016 Regional art fest “Youth to renaissance, development, future!” devoted to 30-anniversary of Chernobyl disaster was held at the premises of Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P.Shamyakin.
Valery Bolbas, MSPU First Pro-Rector, opened the ceremony. Vladimir Chernyak, representative of Gomel Oblast Executive Commiittee of Belarus Trade Commiittee, reminded the students about the heroinism of the liquidators and those who gave their life for the country safety.
There were 2 stages of the fest; category 1 – participants at the age of 14 – 17, category 2 – participants at the age of 18 – 31. Stage 1 “How young people treat Chernobyl: 30 tragic years” was distant. Stage 2 “Chernobyl and Belarus: past, present, future” was full-time.
All the participants received diplomas and commemorative prizes. Among the honorary guests there were Larisa Mezhevich, Headmaster of Gomel regional department of State Public Society “Belarusian Children Fund”, Darya Gramovich, Chief of Youth and Ideology Sector, Mozyr District Executive Committee, Oksana Antonenko, 1st Secretary of BSYU, Elena Marinenko, Chairman of Mozyr District Organization of Red Cross Society.
