On April 28, 2016 Beauty and Grace Contest “Miss University - 2016” was held at the premises of Culture Center “Stroitel’”. 8 bright and creative participants took part in the contest. The ladies had been preparing for 2 months; they were taught to defile, to develop their oratorical and acting skills.Sergey Shchur, Pro-Rector for Academic Affairs, opened the ceremony. He paid much attention to great value of such contests. To his point of view beauty and grace tournaments helped girls to show themselves to be creative, goal-oriented, adventurous and desiring to make this world better.
There were 5 stages: 1. Defile, 2. Intelligence contest, 3. Swimwear defile, 4. Art contest, 5. Wedding dress contest.
Summarizing the results the ladies - participants won in the following categories:
Victoria Katvitskaya (Physical Education Department) - “Miss - ONLINE”, “Miss - Grace”
Alena Maksimenko (Philology Department) – “Miss -Originality”
Jangeldieva Shirin (Philology Department) – “Miss - Charm”
Alina Shapochkina (Department of Preschool and Elementary Education) – “Miss - Fascination”
Anna Sahno (Physics and Engineering Department) – “Miss - Artistry”
Valeria Sorokina (Technology and Biology Department) – “2nd Runner-up”
Victoria Kuksa (Department of Preschool and Elementary Education) – “1st Runner - up”
Galina Poluyan (Philology Department) – “Miss University - 2016”
