Award ceremony of the winners of the XXVII World Summer Universiade

10 students of MSPU named after I.P Shamyakin will take part in the ceremony of awarding of the winners of the XXVII World Summer Universiade 2013 (Kazan, Russian Federation) on the 6 of September, 2013. The ceremony is to be held at the National Library of Belarus.
On the 6-17 of July, 2013, XXVII World Summer Universiade was held in Kazan (the Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation), where 351 sets of medals in 27 kinds of sports were prized.
At the XXVII World Summer Universiade Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I. P. Shamyakin was presented by 16 athletes in two sports: rowing and canoeing (Marina Lytvynchuk, Olga Khudenko, Nadezhda Popok, Margaret Tishkevich, Arthur Lytvynchuk, Oleg Yurenya, Sophia Yurchenko, Pavel Medvedev, Denis Zhigadlo, Ivan Tsuranov Andrei Kolosko, Andrew Tsarikovich) and rowing (Dmitry Vyberanets, Igor Pashevich, Basil Emelianovich, Dmitri Furman).
The Republic of Belarus took fifth place in total rating with its’ record results - 40 medals (13 gold, 13 silver and 14 bronze). It has left behind such countries as Ukraine, the USA, Germany, Italy, Canada, UK, Australia and many others.
Belarusian athletes demonstrated the best results at the Universiade in Kazan in rowing and canoeing. They won 14 medals (6 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze). This success of Belarusian rowers is the result of coordinated work of a large team under the guidance of Vladimir Shantarovich, the Honored Coach of the Republic of Belarus, the head coach of the National Rowing and Canoeing Team of the Republic of Belarus, an honorary citizen of the city of Mozyr.
Students of Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I. P. Shamyakin who won for the national team 10 medals: 6 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze has become the triumphators among the rowers.
Today, 10 of our students will take part in the grand celebration of the winners of the XXVII World Summer Universiade 2013 (Kazan, Russian Federation),which is to be held at the National Library of Belarus. They are Marina Lytvynchuk, Olga Khudenko, Nadezhda Popok, Margaret Tsishkevich, Arthur Lytvynchuk, Oleg Yurenya, Sophia Yurchenko, Pavel Medvedev, Denis Zhigadlo, Ivan Tsuranov.
Anatoly Tozik (the Deputy Prime Minister), Maxim Ryzhenkov (Assistant to the President for Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism Development), heads of the ministries of education, sports and tourism, rectors of higher educational institutions, representatives of the National Olympic Committee, heads of sports associations, honored Workers of Physical culture and Sports of Belarus, sponsors and other dignitaries are expected to attend the event.
Top athletes and their coaches will receive awards of the Government of the Republic of Belarus, of the Ministry of Education, of Ministry of Sport and Tourism, of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus. They will receive as well monetary compensation from the Belarusian Association of University Sports. The concert program will include students who are winners of international and national art competitions.
