DIALOGUE PLATFORM “GENOCIDE OF THE BELARUSIAN PEOPLE. WHAT CANNOT BE FORGOTTEN...”

The experts at the dialogue platform were: M.M. Shcherbin, Deputy Dean for Ideological and Educational Work of Philology Department. The topic of the speech – “Investigation of the criminal case about the genocide of the Belarusian people: on the materials of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Belarus”; E.E. Barsuk, Associate Professor of the Department of History and Social Sciences, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor. The theme of the speech is called “The tragedy of the Ozarich death camps”; S.V. Matveeva, Head of the Department for Ideological and Educational Work. The theme of the speech was “On the inadmissibility of the rehabilitation of Nazism”.

S.N. Shchur, vice-rector for ideological and educational work, made a welcoming speech to the participants of the event. He noted the importance and significance of addressing the topic of the genocide of the Belarusian people. Sergey Nikolaevich stressed that young people should remember and honour the memory of the deeds of their fathers and grandfathers, appreciate peace and well-being in their native country.

During the event the film “Genocide. Without the Right to Life": a joint project of the Office of the Procurator-General of the Republic of Belarus and the Television News Agency.

The students discussed the results of the implementation of the criminal investigation of the genocide of the Belarusian people in various spheres of life of the Belarusian society: the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On the Prevention of Rehabilitation of Nazism”, aimed at the prevention of all forms and manifestations of Nazism, justification of its doctrine and practice, glorification of Nazi criminals and their accomplices; the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On the Genocide of the Belarusian People”, which provides for the legal recognition of the genocide of the Belarusian people and at the same time establishes a corner of the law.

All participants of the event agreed: the genocide of the Belarusian people is something that cannot be forgotten!
