A festive ceremony devoted to the honoring of the winners of the all-year sport competition among the enterprises and educational establishments in Mozyr district of Year-old 2020 was held on March 19, 2021. Educational Establishment “Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P.Shamyakin” won the 2nd place. Congratulations!
March 22, 1943 is a tragic and sorrowful date for the Belarusian people. A big tragedy happened 78 years ago in a small Belarusian village – Khatyn. 149 people (75 kids included) were burned to death in Khatyn.
In 1969 a memorial complex was opened on the place where Khatyn had been burned completely. Now this place is known as a symbol of suffering and courage of the Belarusian people.
78 years ago the Fascists entered Khatyn and encircled the village. The local citizens didn’t know anything about the fact that the partisans had accustomed the cars of the Fascists to gunfire not far from Khatyn; while shooting a German army officer was killed.
There was only one person being alive after the tragedy. It was Iosif Kaminsky, a 56-year old smith. He recovered consciousness at night when the Fascists had already left the village. He found the body of his son among the dead bodies of his fellow villagers. He took his son to his hands but the boy died very soon being held by his dad because of the deathly wounds.
MSPU students met E.Korzh, a representative of the police department in Mozyr, on March 16, 2021. E.Korzh conducted a lecture “Prevention measures against drug addiction. Legal accountability”. Much attention was paid to crime and offence as well as Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.
MSPU social teacher arranged a course of training for the representatives of MSPU student self-administration committee. The students who studied at the Department of Preschool and Elementary Education completed this course and got useful knowledge and competence in the field of leadership, time-management, PR-management.
Student forum of talents “Winter rainbow” is known as a famous platform for experience and talent exchange among students from Gomel region. This year it was the 23rd forum and it was held at the premises of Gomel Region Social and Cultural Center. There were 7 teams who represented the Universities from Gomel and Gomel Region. MSPU was represented by the team “LitGang” who got a festive prize. Dayana Dudlina, a bachelor degree student, Philology Department (MSPU) got a prize in the category “Freedom of Creativity”.
