CONSTELLATION OF LANGUAGE CULTURES

CONSTELLATION OF LANGUAGE CULTURES

On February 21, 2017 Constellation of Language Cultures Fest was held at the premises of Philology Department. The fest was devoted to the International Day of Native language. This fest was established in 1999 by UNESCO order.

It has become common knowledge that a native language is a soul and history of the nation, his living memory and heritage. Thousands of years the language has been created by the generations of our ancestries and every single word is known to be a gold grain.

Lots of international students major at our university. They come from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Pakistan. They all know and feel proud of their native languages, because each language is a unique world filled with unique sound and soul.

Sergey Kurash, Head of Belarusian and Russian Philology Chair, opened the fest and paid much attention to significance of intra-linguistic cooperation and communication in modern world.

Ludmila Ismailova, Dean of Philology Department, said that the Fest was annually held at the department. However this year a wide range of languages were united into a bright constellation.

Such fests promoted development and fruitfulness of languages and cultures, their enrichment, mutual understanding.
