STUDENT SELF-ADMINISTRATION AS AN EFFECTIVE TOOL FOR CREATIVE PERSONALITY OF A PROSPECTIVE TEACHER BUILDING

On November 11, 2016 student council meeting was held at the premises of Philology Department; the topic of the round-table discussion “Student self-administration as an effective tool for creative personality of a prospective teacher building”
As we all know, administration of modern schools is ready to employ highly-qualified teachers but they should also be creative and motivated. To our point of view, this aim can be achieved by creation of special environment which helps to develop professional skills, responsibility, self-sufficiency and creativity. In these conditions student self-administration is not an independent phenomenon but a significant component within university’s educational process.
Some important guests were invited in order to participate in the meeting; among them there were:
Ludmila Ismailova, Dean of Philology Department, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Docent;
Sergey Shchur, Pro-Rector for Educational Matters, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Docent,
Svetlana Matveeva, Chief of Youth Office,
Irina Sudibor, Deputy Dean for Educational Matters, Philology Department.
In the course of the round-table discussion the following agenda was discussed:
1. Basic concepts of Philology Department Student Council in 2015 – 2016 academic year/
2. Formation of a Prospective Teacher.
3. Activity of Student Council devoted to Volunteer’s Movement at Philology Department.
4. Interaction of Teachers and Students in order to enhance patriotism and civic consciousness.
5. Cooperation with educational establishments within the field of Student Self-Administration.
6. Multicultural upbringing of students.
Members of students self-administration took a decision to maintain the following tasks for 2016 – 2017 academic year:
1. To arrange “Prospective leader school” under the support of Mozyr Department of Education, Sport and Tourism.
2. To intensify the efforts of student council in order to attract suspected students for studies at Philology Department.
3. To enhance the quality of violation preventive measures.
4. Put emphasis on multicultural education.
5. To produce a movie “Student life at Philology Department”.
