DAYS OF UDMURTIA IN THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS

On February 25, 2020 Forum “Days of Udmurtia in the Republic of Belarus” was held in Minsk. Round table discussion “Higher education and secondary professional education as a tool for development of the international relations between the Udmurt Republic and the Republic of Belarus” was included into the program. Great guests participated in the event: Mikhail Homich – Deputy Chairman of the administration of the Udmurt Republic, Svetlana Bolotnikova – Minister of Education and Science in the Udmurt Republic, Irina Starovoitova – the First Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus, and other honored people. The agreement for cooperation between MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin and Korolenko Glazov State Pedagogical University was successfully signed.

On February 25, 2020 Online career guidance event was held at the premises of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. The representatives of the Department of History and Social Sciences talked to the 10^th-11^th pupils from the State Educational Establishment “Secondary School No.6 in Svetlogorsk”. The main objective of the event was to attract the school leavers to apply to MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin and to upgrade the image of MSPU in the society. MSPU students prepared a movie “Mozyr is a city of students”. Power-point presentation devoted to the International projects and scientific research was shown to the pupils. Marina Shcherbin, PhD in Pedagogics, spoke about the bachelor degree programs available in 2020 and the admission regulations. Much attention was paid to great value of Historical education, because it develops critical thinking and broadens professional horizons.

SOCIAL CAMPAIGN “CLEAN HANDS – GOOD HEALTH”

On January 27 – March 27, 2020 social care campaign "Clean hands – good health" was held in Gomel region. MSPU supported this campaign as well. Thus, on February 19, 2020 MPSU Center for Initiatives and Education together with the representatives of Mozyr Regional Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology arranged a social campaign “Clean hands – good health”. The aim of the social campaign was to upgrade the awareness of young people about preventive measures from diarrheal diseases. More than 200 people participated in the campaign and were given the leaflets about preventive measures.

On February 21, 2020 Sergey Shchur and Valentina Gusak visited Mozyr Regional Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology and participated in the round table discussion under the topic "Hand hygiene – Healthy life".

FEBRUARY 23 IS THE MEMORABLE DATE FOR MSPU

February 23 is a memorable day for MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin, because two great fests are celebrated i.e. the 76^th anniversary of the University and the International men’s day. Valery Naunyka, Rector of MSPU, started the ceremony and congratulated everybody. Mr Rector said that we were a team and this team spirit helped us to achieve good results. The representatives of MSPU teaching staff were awarded with the festive thanks giving letters. A festive concert was prepared for the guests and the participants by the students and the representatives of MSPU department for educational affairs.

MSPU activists prepared interactive playground "University yesterday, today, tomorrow" and arranged a wide range of festive events at the premises of MSPU student dormitories.

CONSTELLATION OF LINGUISTIC CULTURES DEVOTED TO THE 76TH ANNIVERSARY OF MSPU AND PHILOLOGY DEPARTMENT

On February 20, 2020 Literature and Music Festival “Constellation of Linguistic Cultures” was held at the premises of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. The festival was devoted to the 76^th anniversary of the University and Philology Department as well as to the International Day of the Native Language.

Philology Department today is a place where you can find interesting and in-demand academic programs, creative ideas, pedagogical innovations. Philology Department is the place where you can find talented students and teachers. Philology Department is the place where international cultures, religions and languages are united. The native language is the soul and History of the people, this is a vivid memory and our heritage. The Belarusians, the Ukranians, the Turkmenians, the Azerbaijani, the Chinese are a big Philology family.
