REAL-LIFE ORIENTED STUDIES

On March 24, 2018 MSPU students who major in Physical education under the auspices of Natalia Nichiporko, Head Teacher, Chair of Theory and Methodology of Physical Education, met the children with special needs at Mozyr Center for Social Security Board.

As we all know people with special needs are the object for investigation of many experts and the way how ordinary people treat them is always debatable, because there are lots of forms, methods, means and tasks which are necessary to be taken into account. In its turn, PE students need to get more proficiency in “Adaptive Physical Culture”; students need to evaluate their proficiency, skills and experience in Social practice while interacting with special children at school.

CREATIVE COOPERATION

29-13 On March 22, 2018 Regional Academic and Methodological Seminar “Methodology of Solution for Creative Tasks when teach Service work at secondary school” was held at the premises of Technology and Biology Department; chief organizers: Elena Tihonova, PhD in Pedagogics, Associate professor; focus group: service work teachers from Narovlya, Bragin, Zhlobin, Mozyr, Rechitsa, Svetlogorsk, Vetka, Dobrush regions.

 

The following issues were discussed within the course of the seminar: typology of creative tasks, basic principles of creative tasks statement, tasks of technology and construction in service work; knitting patterns development; crocheting at school. Much attention was paid to professional guidance techniques with the aim to attract pupils for studies at Higher Educational establishments. Study and methodology assistance, easy terms for admission, participation in Regional and State Academic contests on Service work; peculiarities of run-up to academic contest were also negotiated during the meeting.

SEMINAR-WORKSHOP

Seminar-workshop on “Electroconductibility of solid propellants”, “Semiconductive phenomena”, “Magnetic barriers” was conducted at the premises of Upper Secondary School in Kalinkovichi; chief organizers – Chair of Physics and Mathematics, MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin.

Professor Vladimir Savenko lectured on theoretical and practical aspects of Physics studies, ways of conducting the experiment and constructing graphs. As the experience has shown such vivid forms of cooperation help to introduce close connection between pupils and teachers with the aim to motivate pupils to study.

 

ENGLISH TEACHER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

On March 19 – 23, 2018 the 35-hour CiVELT course for ESP university teachers within English for Engagement and Employability – English Teacher Development Programme was conducted at the premises of Minsk State Linguistic University; chief organizers – representatives of British Council in Ukraine.

The following topics were involved into the programme:

1)Key principles of an ESP approach;

2)Language learning in ESP; the role of the ESP learner’s profile and needs analyses; motivation and positive ESP classroom interaction; using learners context as resources

3)Materials in ESP; implications for practice in the ESP classroom.
