On March 19, 2016 festive event “Let’s talk about our Mothers” was held at the premises of Mozyr Secondary School No. 16. Iryna Matveenko, Head Teacher, Foreign Languages Chair, invited Turkmenian students in order to share traditions and get to know how other people celebrate Mother’s day.
On March 21-22, 2016 Turkmenian students celebrated Novruz, a national fest. Numerous performances were organized in order to meet renewal of people and nature in a traditional way.
Enejan Jumayeva, Physics and Engineering Department, lectured on history of the fest. The girl described in potty details how to cook “Sumalyak”, a traditional meal. Dovran Hezretguliev, Zarifa Babamuradova and Shirin Jangeldieva, Philology Department, told Belarusian students about their Mother-land and showed the guests a movie about amazing Turkmenistan and its old traditions. “Novrus – Bayram”, a dancing party, was held in the entrance hall. Turkmenian students presented “Lezghinka”; the meaning of the dance was to show how proud, freedom-loving and temperamental Turkmenian men were and how graceful and magnificent Turkmenian women could be.
On March 24, 2016 International Science and Research Conference-Workshop “Development of social workers’ professional competence: problems, tendencies, perspectives” was held at the premises of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. Experts in social and pedagogical work, teachers and students took part in the conference.
On March 18, 2016 Session of the Presidium of Belarusian Association of Student Sport was held at the premises of Educational Establishment “Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P.Shamyakin”. Mikhail Zhuravkov, Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Dubkovsky, Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus, rectors and pro-rectors of Belarusian universities, heads and experts of Belarusian Association of Student Sport, representatives of State Center of Physical Education and Sport, Vladimir Shantarovich, Head coach of the National Rowing and Canoeing Team, Felix Galyuk, Deputy Chairman of Mozyr Executive Committee, Lubov Klepchukova, Head of Education, Sport and Tourism Department (Mozyr Executive Committee), Principals of Mozyr children’s and young person’s sports schools were invited to become distinguished guests and visited Mozyr with great pleasure.
On March 19, 2016 MSPU career – guidance project “University Saturdays” was held at the premises of Physics and Engineering Department. More than 180 pupils and students from Mozyr and Mozyr District took part in the social campaign.
