On March 21-22, 2016 Turkmenian students celebrated Novruz, a national fest. Numerous performances were organized in order to meet renewal of people and nature in a traditional way.
Enejan Jumayeva, Physics and Engineering Department, lectured on history of the fest. The girl described in potty details how to cook “Sumalyak”, a traditional meal. Dovran Hezretguliev, Zarifa Babamuradova and Shirin Jangeldieva, Philology Department, told Belarusian students about their Mother-land and showed the guests a movie about amazing Turkmenistan and its old traditions. “Novrus – Bayram”, a dancing party, was held in the entrance hall. Turkmenian students presented “Lezghinka”; the meaning of the dance was to show how proud, freedom-loving and temperamental Turkmenian men were and how graceful and magnificent Turkmenian women could be.
