On March 19, 2016 festive event “Let’s talk about our Mothers” was held at the premises of Mozyr Secondary School No. 16. Iryna Matveenko, Head Teacher, Foreign Languages Chair, invited Turkmenian students in order to share traditions and get to know how other people celebrate Mother’s day.

Shirin Jangeldiyeva sang a popular Turkmenian song “Bracelets”. Sherbet Seitkulieva played the gopuz, a national Turkmenian musical instrument. Zarifa Babamuradova, Aknabat Myradova and Tavus Charyeva performed a traditional dance. Izzat Nazarov and Hodja Abdullaev told about traditions in Turkmenistan. The event was presented in Russian and German. Students told about the role of foreign languages, life of young people and possibilities to continue language studies after finishing school at Philology Department, MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin.
