On January 30, 2019 Ivan Shamyakin, a national writer of Belarus, a laureate of state literature prizes of USSR and the Republic of Belarus, Member of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus, a canonical writer, whose name MSPU bears, is celebrating his 98th birthday.

The creativity of Ivan Shamyakin was highly praised all over the world, because the acts of bravery which were achieved by the Belarusian people in peaceful time as well as in the war period were treated like great. His writings “Deep stream”, “When life is good”, “Sources”, “Atlantes and Caryatides”, “Zenith” were devoted to topical issues in the society i.e necessity to keep memory of war, patriotic and moral-aesthetic education of children, responsible attitude to your work, mercy and honesty.

STATE TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETICS UNIVERSIADE 2019

On January 24 – 26, 2019 State Track and Field Athletics Universiade 2019 was held in Mogilev. This event brought great feelings to the athletes and became a significant day in their sport career, because the athletes competed and discovered who the best ones were. Athletes from 26 Universities of Belarus participated in the Universiade. MSPU students from Physical Education Department won the 8^th place in the competition. Alexander Chumak, a Head teacher (Chair of Physical Education and Sport Disciplines) and Vladimir Baranovsky, a Teacher (Chair of Physical Education and Sport Disciplines) supervised MSPU team.

Administration of the University congratulated MSPU athletes on great achievements in sport and good results in the competition!

UNIVERSITY 3.0 AND WHAT PROFIT YOUNG SCIENTISTS COULD BRING TO DEVELOP THIS MODEL

On January 24, 2019 a workshop for young scientists “What profit young scientists could bring to develop the model “University 3.0” was held at the premises of Belarusian State Economic University in Minsk. Olga Yablonskaya, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor (Chair of Foreign Languages and Foreign Language Teaching Methodology) represented MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin at the seminar.

BELARUSIAN SCIENCE DAY 2019

On January 23, 2019 a festive performance devoted to Belarusian Science Day 2019 was held at the premises of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. Science has been and is still known as motive force in each country. It is important to mention that Belarus holds one of the leading positions in the field of research and innovations. MSPU scholars and researchers contribute much to the development of innovations in the Republic of Belarus and Gomel region.

Nalery Navnyko, PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor, Rector of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin, opened the ceremony and greeted everybody. He congratulated everybody on the professional holiday. In this vein the most prominent research and academicians were honored with the highest awards.

Valery Bolbas, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the chair of Pedagogics and Psychology, was awarded with the diploma of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, for long service, great achievements and training of highly-qualified teachers and researchers, development of methodology tools, research and teaching practice.

On January 14 – 18, 2019 advanced training program “Methodological and Psychological-Pedagogical approaches to teaching a specialized extra-curriculum course “Introduction to Teaching profession”” was held in Gomel at the premises of State Educational Establishment “Gomel Regional Institute of the Development of Education”; focus group – school teachers.

Helen Astreyko, PhD in Pedagogics, Associate Professor, was invited by the administration of State Educational Establishment “Gomel Regional Institute of the Development of Education” to conduct lectures.

The attendees were to get acquainted with the “image” of a modern teacher.
