BRAIN STORM CONTEST «WISE OWL»

Brain storm contest “Wise owl” was held at the premises of Philology Department on March 04, 2021. 3 teams participated in the contest i.e. “Max & Co.”, “Primo Victoria”, “Flake of fire”. There were 3 rounds, each round consisted of 4 questions. Each team had 1 min to give the answer to the question and get up to 4 points.

Tatsiana Symanovich, the Dean of the Philology Department, and Irina Sudibor, a responsible person for educational affairs at the Philology Department, formed the judging panel.

All the teams showed great competence in the field of History, Literature, Geography, Music and Sport. Team “Primo Victoria” got the 1st prize. Team “Flake of Fire” got the 2nd prize. Team “Max & Co.” got the 3rd prize.

WORK-SHOP “MY FUTURE PROFESSION IS TO BE A TEACHER!”

Alla Rechits, a methodology teacher, Educational Establishment “Secondary School No. 7 in Mozyr”, was invited to MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin with the aim to participate in the work-shop “My future career is to be a teacher!”, to share her experience and to inspire MSPU Philology Students to be good teachers in the future. The work-shop was held at the premises of Philology Department on March 03, 2021.

Alla Rechits spoke about her career. She highlighted the challenges new teachers faced when they started their career at school.

The guest and the students discussed what elements should have been taken into consideration when the image of a teacher in the modern society had been developed. The students asked many questions about social and psychological adaptation of new teachers, professional ethics and advice of how to become good teachers.

All the students were deeply amazed by the workshop and the fruitfulness of the discussion.

MSPU STUDENTS VISITED MOZYR DEPARTMENT FOR THE INTERNAL AFFAIRS

MSPU students visited the local department for the Internal Affairs. The students met the Head of the Department for Human Trafficking Control and the Head of the Juvenile Liaison Office, the Head of the State Road Safety Unit.

The students were informed about the current changes in the legislative system of the Republic of Belarus. They made a tour around the Department for Internal Affairs and even visited the Temporary Detention Centre.

«FAMILY AND HEALTH»: MSPU STUDENTS MET A PSYCHOLOGIST

photoMSPU students met Tatsiana Garaevskaya, a psychologist, Mozyr Maternity Welfare Centre, who presented her report on the topic: «Abortion as a social and medical problem. History and tragic consequences of abortive and contraceptive way of thinking».

The students and the guest discussed ethical aspects of abortion. It was discovered that some people treated this problem as a moral issue, because it was closely connected with a human life, rights of a baby, a right of a woman to choose herself what to do with her body and not being pushed by other people. There are different attitudes to abortion in different countries among public officials and the society.

OPEN DIALOGUE «UNITY! DEVELOPMENT! INDEPENDENCE!»

The International students from China and Turkmenistan who studied at Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P.Shamyakin took part in the open dialogue «Unity! Development! Independence!» held on February 24, 2021.

Here is the list of the speakers:

Elena Pavlechko, the Chairman of Mozyr District Executive Committee,

Galina Kudina, Chairman of Mozyr District Delegate Council, Valentina Nazarenko, a representative of the House of the Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus,

Alexander Bobr and Sergey Teterin, delegates of Mozyr District Delegate Council,

Diana Mishura and Valentina Naumenko, leaders of the Youth organizations.

The students were asked the questions regarding the development of the country and the regions, further steps of social and economic development of Mozyr district, career prospects for graduates, new bachelor degree programs and the role of young people in the political life of the country. Novruz Myratdurdyyev, a student from Turkmenistan who graduated Philology Department in 2020, expressed his deepest gratitude to the administration of the city and said that he was lucky to study at MSPU and live in Mozyr, because the quality of education was high and there were lots of possibilities for his self - realisation. At the end of the meeting all the participants had a tea party and took a picture together.
