XXVI FORUM OF STUDENT TALENTS "WINTER RAINBOW - 2023"

The Winter Rainbow Student Talent Forum is the hallmark of students in the Gomel region. This is one of the most beautiful competitions that shows the potential of our youth. This year, the theme of the forum is dedicated to the 140th anniversary of Yanka the Moor – "Polesie Robinsons". On December 13, 2023, the Winter Rainbow Student Forum brought together active, athletic and creative young people to prove once again that students are strong not only in their studies! In the hall of the Gomel Regional Social and Cultural Center, an exhibition of ideological and educational work was organized, at which universities presented youth projects and initiatives of their educational institutions, implemented in the Year of Historical Memory. Our students proved themselves in the sports relay race "Starting Point" and took part in the charity event "#let's get to work!". First-year students of seven universities in the region competed for the status of the best of the best. The program of the event included a bright show and a large number of surprises - the best performances and programs of the contests "Come on, freshman!", incendiary dances, songs and humor, surprises and gifts.

THE DANGERS OF CYBERCRIME: HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF IN THE ONLINE WORLD

On December 7, 2023, 4th year students of the Faculty of Physics and Engineering visited the State Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 13" in Mozyr. Within the framework of the project "Peer Teaches Peer", the children held an informational conversation with 10th grade students on the topic "The Danger of Cybercrime: How to Protect Yourself in the Online World" on how not to encounter fraudsters on the Internet.

Attendees were told what types of online activities are considered cybercrimes, malware attacks and phishing were considered as examples. As a result, rules were formulated, following which you can protect yourself from cybercriminals and avoid negative consequences.

VISITING MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF YOUNG SCIENTISTS UNDER THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION OF THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS IN VITEBSK

The results of the work of the Council of Young Scientists for 2023 were discussed at the traditional visiting meeting in Vitebsk.

The meeting took place on the 24th of November 2023 at the Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Ivanovich Ivanets, who made a welcoming speech to young scientists, in which he noted the most important achievements of the past year and the prospects for further activities of the SMU.

The participants of the meeting listened to the report of the Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus A.I. Kiselevich, as well as reports on the results of work in the regions, approved the plan of main events with the participation of members of the Council of Ministers of Ukraine for 2024.

On November 1, within the framework of the Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Belarus and China, a ceremony of signing an agreement on the establishment of the Chinese-Belarusian Association of Universities took place. The association included more than 80 Belarusian and Chinese universities. The establishment of the Association will contribute to the expansion of cooperation in the field of higher education and scientific research between Chinese and Belarusian educational institutions, the implementation of inter-university exchanges, joint training of specialists, the publication of scientific papers, the organization of joint events, etc.
