The reach of the Faculty of Philology continues to expand. Meetings with high school seniors were held in several cities across Belarus, initiated by first-year students majoring in “Linguistic Education.” As part of the career guidance project “Faculty of Philology: Time for Professionals,” the first-year students visited schools in their home regions to present the faculty’s educational opportunities to prospective applicants.

At Gymnasium No. 6 in Brest, Karina Domoratskaya introduced the students to in-demand full-time degree programs. The students showed particular interest in the fields of “Modern Foreign Languages,” “Philological Education,” and “Historical Education.” At the same time, in Polotsk, Anastasia Kolach shared her experience of applying to the university and her first impressions of the faculty with students at Secondary School No. 1. Anastasia explained that studying at the university is a modern platform for self-realization, where high-quality knowledge is combined with a vibrant student life.

Ekaterina Parepko also joined the large-scale career guidance outreach effort, representing the faculty in the town of Senno. She held meetings with graduates from two schools—Secondary School No. 1 and Secondary School No. 2. Ekaterina gave her fellow townspeople a detailed account of the benefits of studying at the university, the specifics of the academic disciplines, and the opportunities available to students at the I. P. Shamyakin Moscow State Pedagogical University.

The “peer-to-peer” format allowed prospective students to get information firsthand. During the lively discussion, the students learned about the minimum admission score, the specifics of major-related subjects, and the career paths chosen by graduates in philology and history. The students showed keen interest in the programs presented, and many of them noted that they already plan to tie their professional future to our university and submit their applications to the admissions committee.

Such meetings are more than just a faculty presentation. They offer every prospective student the chance to envision their future through the experiences of those who have already made their choice. The Faculty of Philology is a place where talents are ignited and professionals are born. Choose the right start—choose the I. P. Shamyakin Moscow State Pedagogical University! See you at the admissions office!
