ACADEMIC AND METHODOLOGY SEMINAR AT THE PHILOLOGY DEPARTMENT

On December 26, 2018 Academic and methodology seminar “Cooperation of High School and Secondary School in the system of a Philology teacher training” was held at the premises of Philology Department (Supervisor of the seminar – Tatsiana Tatarinova).

Philology teachers from Mozyr and Kalinkovichi as well as Nadezhda Novik-Shcherbenko, Ludmila Ismailova, Elena Sazanchuck, Tatsiana Shved participated in the seminar.

4th year Philology students who major in “Russian and Russian Literature”, “Belarusian and Belarusian Literature”, “English. German” created a festive mood and presented a musical performance “Christmas meeting at Philology Department”.

The following reports were presented to the guests:

“Branches of academic chairs and their role in cooperation between Higher Schools and Secondary schools”, Tatsiana Tatarinova;

“Key competences of Philology students”, Tatsiana Chechko;

“Current issues in Lexicology and Phraseology”, Sergey Kurash;

“From creativity to professionalism: how to form creative skills”, Marina Loban.

New literature project “Poetry battles” was presented to the guests; project supervisor – Irina Sudibor.

While summing up the results all the participants claimed how creative and clever MSPU Philology students were. Much attention was paid to great importance of such meetings for University teachers and students as well as for school teachers, because both sides have got a chance to meet and discuss topical issues in Modern Philology and Language Teaching Methodology.
