INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE TO RESEARCH CONFERENCE “MOZYR LAND: PEOPLE, EVENTS, TIME”

On May 18, 2018 International science to research conference “Mozyr land: People, events, time” was held at the premises of Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P.Shamyakin. Scientists from Belarus and abroad participated in the event. Tatsiana Symanovich, Dean of Philology Department, opened the conference with welcoming speech and paid attention of the audience to the problematic field of the conference and wished everybody to enjoy the event and get as much inspiration as possible. Sergey Schchur, Vice-Rector for Social Affairs, greeted the audience and said that Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P.Shamyakin had become a center for culture and science. He also added that the conference became a ground for ideas and experience exchange.
Avksenty the Hegumen, head of the department for religious education and catechetesis at Turov Bishopric, greeted the audience and said religion and spirituality was a cornerstone of each epoch. He said that it was impossible to bring up a person who could struggle for the Motherland without spirituality.
In recent years representatives of academic community and the Church have got a possibility to meet and discuss crucial issues in the church life and social life of Belarus. In this vein Avksenty the Hegumen acknowledged Irina Sudibor and Sergey Yuris with honoured medals for spiritual and moral upbringing of the younger generations.
During the plenary meeting the following guests presented their reports: N. Mezga, Dean of History Department (Francisk Skorina Gomel State University), S. Elizarov, Doctor of Historical Sciences (Gomel State Technical University named after P.O. Sukhoi), S. Cherepko, PhD in History (Francisk Skorina Gomel State University).
