LANGUAGE AND MUSIC FESTIVAL “CONSTELLATION OF LINGUISTIC CULTURES”

On February 21, 2018 language and music festival “Constellation of linguistic cultures” devoted to the Day the National Language was held at the premises of Philology Department at MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. In 1999 this day was proclaimed a festive one in accordance with the decision of the 30th UNESCO General Conference. The festival is contributed to linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism. Any native language is a soul of a nation, its History, its vivid memory and heritage.

Students from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Ethiopia get degrees at MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. All the students appreciate and feel proud of their national language, because the language is a unique world full of extraordinary melodies.

Sergey Kurash, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor, Head of Belarusian and Russian Philology Chair, opened the festival. He congratulated all the students and teachers on the Day of the National Language and paid attention to the importance of cooperation and communication in the modern world.

Tatsiana Symanovich, PhD in History, Associate Professor, Dean of Philology Department, said that the Day of the National Language had become a traditional festival at MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin.

Philology students and teachers enjoyed this fest greatly, because the language united the people into a large family!
