On September 13 – 16, 2016 International Scientific Congress “Diversity and Democratic Society – Search for Identity in the Nearest Future” was held at the premises of Hildesheim Fund University within the framework of Joint European Project TEMPUS IV “Initial and further training for teachers and educational managers with regard to diversity” (543873-TEMPUS-1-2013- TEMPUS-JPCR). Scientists from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Russia, Ukraine and Belarus took part in the congress. Within the framework of the International Congress consortium meeting on project implementation was also arranged. At the plenary talk the leading researchers and scientists lectured on topical issues. Among the lectures there were Olga Graumann (Germany), doctor, professor, President of International Academy of Education Humanization (IAEH); Rudolf Kek (Germany), doctor, professor, honorary President of IAEH;Volfgang-Uve Friedrich (Germany), doctor, professor, Rector of Hildesheim University; Hannes Shamman (Germany) doctor, professor, representative of Hildesheim University; Ulf Algermisser (Germany) doctor, professor, representative of Hildesheim University; Mikhail Pevzner (Russia) doctor, professor, Pro-Rector of Novgorod State University, Anatoly Gavrikov, doctor, professor, President of Novgorod State University.

All the reports were devoted to development of heterogeneous environment at the universities in Germany and Russia, migration processes in Europe, attitude of residents to migrants, current problems of inclusion, various aspects of sensitive pedagogics.

The work of the congress could be characterized as fruitful and eventful. The scientists conducted debates on the following matters: “How can “diversity” and “democratization” and “internationalization” be connected?” “Are there any limits for diversity in educational environment to grow?”, “Are modern teachers ready to work under the conditions of diversity?”, “What can we do in order to be successful under the conditions of diversity?”.

Session - report devoted to 20th International Academy of Education Humanization Anniversary was arranged on Day 1.

Day 2 and Day 3 were arranged in the form of 5 sessions. MSPU delegation took part in Session III and submitted a report “Organizational model of various heterogeneous groups socialization under the conditions of inclusion at the university” (joint authors: Valentin Valetov, Nikolay Lebedev, Tatsiana Palieva, Irina Zhurlova). The lectures paid much attention to diversity criteria, typological groups of students were singled out, organizational model of student socialization in the inclusive environment was presented. The audience determined the report as informative, topical and interesting.

Day 3 was devoted to acquaintance with educational establishments in Hildesheim. MSPU delegation visited Robert-Bosch-Gesamschule where German children and children-migrants study together. This school has been implementing the social project Besuch Lekrimuni for many years.

At the end of International congress all the participants visited two ancient German cities, Wernigerode and Goslar, which were stated as the part of UNESCO heritage. Old builings, magnificent architecture, amazing fountains, narrow streets amazed all the guests.
